In 2005 a concept was started to give back to the community in an environmentally friendly way by Tom and Carole Blankenship. They were able to come up with a coating system for rubber nuggets made from discarded passenger car tires. After a year of research with a national paint company and integrating a coating system, they were able to establish a product with maximum safety and longevity. This process assured adherence of the coating to the rubber while at the same time being entirely safe and environmentally friendly.
In 2006 the business started its' production operation in Bargersville, IN. Tom, Carole, their son Tommy, a Criminal Justice student, and two grandsons, Charles and Colton Snodgrass work at the production facility, in Bargersville. The corporate business office is located in Southport Indiana.
Rubber Mulch Products has become one of the nation's leading manufacturers and suppliers of rubber products made from 100% recycled scrap passenger tires. The ongoing goal is to provide environmentally friendly products to various industries, while at the same time promoting safety in the workplace, and the community as a whole.
